The Michelin Guide revealed the restaurants distinguished by the excellence of their cuisine and service, at the Michelin Stars ceremony for 2023 that took place yesterday in Toledo.
This distinction, a reference in the sector, is also a way of elevating Portuguese gastronomy and recognizing the talent and creativity of the chefs in working traditional recipes with local products, innovating and often surprising in their presentation of dishes.
In 2023, the Michelin Guide will feature 38 Portuguese restaurants, 7 with two stars and 31 with one star. The novelties of this edition were the 5 new restaurants with a star that integrated the guide. Three establishments were also distinguished with a Green Star and 38 were considered BIB Gourmand.
